Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Determine manufacturing methods and sequences, fixturing, raw materials, and work to be performed outside by local vendors.  Provide detailed quotes for precision-machined components
  • Provide process engineering support to production, assuring accurate and detailed manufacturing process instructions and feedback.
  • Apply time standards to work performed in the shop
  • Input routing data into the database; input is necessary to calculate times necessary to complete procedures and to explain in detail the procedures involved in each manufacturing operation
  • Proficient with GD&T, Technical drawing, SiemensNX, Unigraphics MasterCam and Autocad
  • Use Autocad or equivalent to sketch blueprints for outside vendors, develop fixtures and processes

Qualifications:

  • Broad knowledge of machine tools and their capabilities for the purpose of properly routing precision components.
  • Experience with programming CNC machines, production and tool room work a PLUS
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing drawings, technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
  • Respond to inquiries or complaints from employees, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community
  • Bachelor’s degree or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to the prescribed style and format and to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or Board of Directors

Process/Manufacturing Engineer Python Programmer

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in programming, technical links, data collection, and reporting
  • Write script to link systems through Python Programming language
  • Familiar with Python’s design philosophy emphasizing code readability
  • Analyzes drawings, sketches, and design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates, according to knowledge of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities.
  • Research and develop new equipment – including design, monitoring, and testing
  • Oversight of processes and working to maintain optimization of production lines
  • Computes angular and linear dimensions, radii, and curvatures, and outline sequence of operations required to machine part.
  • Prepares geometric layout on computer-assisted drafting software to show location of reference points and direction of cutting paths.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years Engineering with programming or related experience
  • Proficient in Python/ CNC Programming required – Unigraphics/NX preferred.
  • MRP experience preferred
