Senior Corporate Quality Engineer

Quality Inspection Supervisor- 1st Shift

Leads a team responsible for inspection and testing of product including incoming receipt, in-process inspection, and final inspection/release. Collects, compiles, and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Responsible for all quality records and the quality level of the product shipped.

Responsibilities:

  • Interprets Engineering drawings, Blueprints, and other product requirements and confers with Quality Manager, or Engineering staff to determine quality, customer specifications, and reliability standards.
  • CMM Programming a PLUS
  • Trains and provides guidance to CMM operators and programmers, inspectors and apprentices
  • Oversees the preparation of all paperwork needed for the shipment of product.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate, or indicate deviations from, existing standards.
  • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality.
  • Assists in dispositioning of parts.
  • Manages and directs assigned staff, including time and attendance.
  • Oversees proper operation of all equipment in the department that is used to verify conformance to requirements.
  • Reviews and follows all Customer, AS9100 ISO documentation relating to the quality system.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with 8 years related experience OR Bachelor's
  • PRIOR DQR “Designated Quality Representative” experience is a PLUS.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, FAIRs, and Inspection Measuring Metrology.
  • Previous experience as Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment.

Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for planning and designing the manufacturing process in an industrial plan.

Specific duties:

  • Read and interpret prints to determine manufacturing methods and sequences, fixturing, and raw materials.
  • Determine work to be performed by outside vendors.
  • Understand and interpret GD&T on detail engineered prints.
  • Extract part files from 3D CAD models and create flat sheet-metal profiles and nesting patterns.
  • Produce flat sheet-metal pattern layout and program CNC files for laser cutting and turret punch press.
  • Knowledge of operation of shop machinery including: Shear, CNC (Punch Press & Laser), Press Brake, Notcher, Welder MIG and TIG welders, etc.
  • Knowledge of CNC Laser and Turret Punch equipment, operation, tooling maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, bend deduction calculations and press brake processes.
  • Use AutoCAD to make detail drawings, fixtures, and facility layouts.
  • Apply time standards to work performed in manufacturing.
  • Input routing data into ERP system, with required details for each step in the manufacturing process.
  • Communicate with other associates to determine the optimum way to manufacture parts.
  • Use Autocad to sketch blueprints.
  • Detail quotes for precision-machined components.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four- year college or university preferred
  • 1-2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Broad knowledge of manufacturing for the purpose of properly routing precision components
