Duties & Responsibilities:

Benefits Administration

  • Administers all employee benefits, including medical, dental, life, short term/long term disability insurances, and HSA benefit plans.
  • Will be part of the team that partners with our brokers, carriers, and third party administrators to discuss plan design, changes, additions or deletions to our benefits portfolio.

  • Assists with Recruiting Administrator for hiring process. Prepares job descriptions, internal postings and offer letters as needed.   Maintains contact with recruitment firms and other candidate sources.
  • Schedules pre-employment testing including drug and background screening.
  • Performs new hire orientation and assists in developing orientation materials and procedures.
  • Enters new hire information into Payroll/HRIS System. Enters life cycle changes for the employee such as change of duty, transfers, etc.   Processes terminations according to state specific requirements.   Provides reporting from Payroll/HRIS System as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining active and terminated files.

Employee Relations:

  • Assists in monitoring the performance evaluation program on an annual basis.
  • Assists the HR Director and Generalist in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree and a minimum 3-5 years of HR and Benefits Administration, Workers Compensation and LOA experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
