Specific duties:

  • Assist in Processing payroll according to company policies and federal, state, and local regulations.

Vice President of Operations- Manufacturing

The V. P. of Operations will be responsible to effectively manage the manufacturing, engineering, and purchasing for all plants. This role plans, directs and coordinates the operations of all materials, technical production, and support departments.  Responsible for development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods. Measurably improve production, customer relations, quality outcomes, employee engagement, cost and inventory control processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises Five Aerospace Plant Mangers – who then direct employees in Technical and Manufacturing & supporting departments to include manufacturing supervision, maintenance, manufacturing engineering, materials, and quality control and indirectly responsible for associates in all departments. 
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable state and federal laws. 
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning and assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy condition on company property to achieve the best working environment possible for all employees and visitors. This includes responsibility for maintenance and care of the facility.
  • Execute to the sales revenue and operating income plan for each plant within the respective business segment.  Responsible for plants/segment productivity and throughput.
  • Interact with internal and external sales resources – accompany sales resources on customer visits as appropriate, produce customer visit reports after internal or external customer visits.
  • Identify continuous improvement targets.  Document the objective, potential savings, and execution plan.
  • In conjunction with the COO, enforces corporate policies, processes, and procedures.  Direct and supervises the application of such policies to the assigned manufacturing operations.
  • Utilize the ERP system – manage to the daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
  • Standardize all plants on manufacturing technology platforms, where applicable.
  • Manage inventory with best-in-class principles – raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.  Standardize all inventory practices across all plants.
  • Maintain the appropriate quality registrations, as well as the corporate quality reporting standards.
  • Generate capital expenditure budget – looking out three years – to support the respective business demands.
  • Best utilize all the human and capital resources – fully utilize all manufacturing resources.
  • Forecast labor requirements through capacity planning and recommend equipment and/or facility changes, production methods or material handling procedures. Initiates and recommends purchase of new capital equipment.

Qualifications:
