Essential duties include:

This is a new position with a growing operation that will require wearing a couple hats. This person will be responsible for the inspection of machined parts and outside services for compliance with drawings and specifications.  Essential duties include:

  • Follows QP-21 Final Parts Inspection Process to ensure verification of specifications and dimensions of all parts prior to shipment (internal or external)
  • Obtains necessary fixtures and gauging to verify that the parts are within the specified parameters
  • Selects gauging to maximize repeatability and reproducibility of the measured parameters
  • Identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and reports them via a nonconforming material report (NCMR)

The successful candidate will also be trained to assist in the shipping/receiving area as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education
  • Experience with an ERP system, BaaN preferred
  • Experience in Aerospace Manufacturing Shipping/Receiving
  • Shipping experience with thorough understanding of types of shipments and associated requirements and paperwork
  • Excellent organization, communication, and math skills. 
  • Basic understanding of bills of materials and manufacturing resource planning (MRP)
  • Ability to adapt to our process and systems and incorporate solutions into the company’s infrastructure and operating system
  • Effectively use various ERP sessions for shipping, receiving, material issues, inventory transactions, sales order maintenance, and MRP
  • Strong customer service attitude

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
