Buyer

The Buyer is primarily responsible for purchasing goods and services through negotiation in order to supply management processes. Additionally, the Buyer maintains vendor relationships, vendor performance, and company quality objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Processes purchase requisition to purchase order by data entry via purchase order fields and all vendor receipts through the ERP system
  • Maintain data integrity via computer skills for all Purchasing-related data including cost, safety stock, lead-times, minimums, multiples, supplier data and other purchasing ERP fields
  • Buys a variety of goods and services through negotiation, vendor management, value analysis and the development of vendor/company relationships
  • Develops new vendors through vendor research, evaluation and performance. Coordinates vendor approval with Quality control and existing processes and procedures

  • Maintains the ERP system with current information and communicates all relevant information to other departments

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in experience,
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Buyer/Planner
  • CPM and LCS Certification preferred

The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling contract manufacturing services to customers that are requiring formed, fabricated, welded, powder coated components and assemblies.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Meet with customer weekly – to maintain seamless and accurate information flow
