Qualifications Required:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge to obtain expertise in departmental inspection equipment, and processes, and other Quality objectives
  • Previous experience as a supervisor or team lead
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, AS9102 FAIRs, and inspection measuring equipment
  • 5- 10 years’ Aerospace Inspection management experience in a machine shop environment
  • Familiarity with Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma
  • Previous experience as Quality Inspector or DQR in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills. Proven track record of successful leadership, situation analysis, detail-orientation, and best safety practices
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products, related business applications, and office equipment

Masking / Packing Associate

Sets up and identifies parts that need masked to prevent specified locations from exposure to the paint or powder coat process; and package finished goods to meet customer expectations in preparing components for shipping.

Essential duties include:

  • Understands blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine customer expectations/requirements and the sequence of operations
  • Sets up and identifies parts that need masked to prevent specified locations from exposure to the paint or powder coat process
  • Hangs and removes parts from both the paint and powder coat lines
  • Performs visual inspections of parts to determine proper masking and packaging.
  • Packages finished goods to meet customer expectations in preparing components for shipping
  • Selects appropriate tools, equipment or material needed to mask and package components
  • Verifies conformance of finished work piece to customer specifications
  • Confers with engineers, production personnel or others to resolve masking and packaging issues/concerns
  • Ensures masking and packaging objectives are carried out in a safe and appropriate manner while maintaining a high level of quality
  • Utilizes basic computer skills to log and track job travelers and maintain accurate inventory levels

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • One year of related manufacturing experience
  • Basic math skills
