This position is responsible for janitorial and basic maintenance needs throughout the facility.

Essential duties include:

  • Trash Removal Route – Perform trash removal daily from each of the general work stations, use prescribed route and large roller trash cart.
  • Chips and Scrap Material Removal – Pick up using fork lift truck and or roller cart to remove excess chips and scrap from work stations.
  • Dump chips and scrap as required using fork lift truck, in receptacles identified for salvage company pick up.
  • Sweep and Mop floors as needed to remove excess chips, oil, coolant spills, and trash.

This is a critical position for our success with responsibility to connect manufacturing technology and capabilities with customer requirements, specific duties include:

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, create process routings and operation sheets
  • Design and procure necessary tooling and fixturing within budgets
  • Conduct cost / benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment
  • Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements
  • Identify and reduce sources of labor efficiency variations
  • Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation
  • Support the quality function through integration of ISO / quality documentation and manufacturing methods instructions
  • Lead high impact process and quality improvement projects yielding significant reduction in defects and increased productivity in the Cell
  • Utilize lean-manufacturing principles and participate in action workouts to improve process capability, reduce overall costs and increase capacity

Qualifications:

  • Four year technical degree and/or minimum 5 years as a Manufacturing Engineer
  • Lean Manufacturing training is preferred.
  • Lathe and milling machining experience
  • Understanding of ISO and aerospace requirements
  • Understanding of ERP
  • Working knowledge of BOM’s, Routings, Unigraphics/NX, & solid modeling
